Dear Boar's Head, how hard is it to clean your meat?

Boar's Head, the popular deli meat brand, has recalled more than 7,000,000 pounds of deli meat that could be contaminated with listeria. And because of such bizarre tracings, they're taking their time to investigate one of their Virginia factories that could very well be the culprit.

The CDC has identified 34 cases of Listeria from deli meat across 13 states, which so far two people have died from. It's also been linked to 33 hospitalizations.

For a meat production company that primarily makes it money on consumer goods, it's funny to think that such an issue like this would even arise in the first place.

The disease tends to seriously affect those who are pregnant or older, but hopefully if caught in time, can be treated with antibiotics.

The CDC now suggests that for those individuals, and really for anybody who plans on consuming deli meat, to heat those products to an internal temperature of 165°F.

If only we could get an inner working on how the business runs, but until we get that, I'll throw my two cents in.

I would like to imagine that Boar's Head, despite being a massively successful brand, have somehow made their employees stressed out enough for them to forget how to follow proper food safety protocol.

It's very easy to point your finger at employees for such a massive screw up, but when put to work at a place like this, it's printed in your brain to always make sure you're washing your hands, always make sure to clean your product. So what happened? It seems nobody knows.

Until we get more details on how this could've happened, I leave with this one question.
